Danielle Gersh joined KESQ News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 in September 2013. She is the weekend weathercaster and a general assignment reporter during the week.
Danielle graduated from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Convergence Journalism. While in college, Danielle anchored and reported for SMU-TV. She credits fascinating Texas weather as one of the reasons she fell in love with meteorology. Danielle is currently working toward her degree in meteorology through Mississippi State University.
Danielle interned in the news and weather departments at KTVT, the CBS affiliate in Dallas/Fort Worth. While there, she helped cover severe weather events like the deadly tornado that ripped through Granbury, Texas. Danielle also spent time working in the weather department at KCBS/KCAL while home in Los Angeles.
An avid animal lover, Danielle loves to spend time with her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Sebastian, and her horse, Pikxie. She also enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, working out and spending time with family.
